Beauty on the beach...

This morning I had the wonderful opportunity to photograph the Airosalo family from Spring Lake. Photos were taken on the Lake Michigan beach in Whitehall...what beautiful weather we had! Marjo, a photographer herself, had some great ideas and we really had a great time making memories this morning. These are just a few of the many photos I took...I will upload more later, but these are a few of my favorites..thank you, Marjo, Christian and Miko!

Location, location, location....

I am taking family photos for the Airosalo family tomorrow at the Whitehall pier...can't wait!!!

I took my oldest son, JJ, out to the pier tonight to get an idea of some places to take their photos and can't honestly believe how long it's been since I've been to that side of the pier. It is beautiful "on the other side". I snapped a bunch of photos with my point-and-shoot and on the way home, found some other great spots to do future shoots....I need to take a ride more often and see what's right in my backyard...

I Know It's Been a While...

I have not updated my blog in a few weeks and guilt is starting to set in...We have a wood boiler that we heat our home with in the winter and have been cutting wood for the past two weeks, so I haven't had time for much else.

I did meet with Jessica B. at her wedding location to discuss wedding plans and to see the wedding site. Jessica and Don are my first wedding couple and I'm really looking forward to photographing their special day, which is August 22nd.

I also ordered a photo I took to be printed on canvas and I just got in Fedex today!!! This is the photo I chose..and I have to say canvas makes such a difference!!

I am working on pricing, also, right now for senior portraits....I will try to update this more often...definitely there will be tons of photos of Jessica and Don's wedding!! Keep watching...

Look what a cruise around the block can produce...

Lindsey, my stepdaughter, and I went on a little cruise today looking for great locations to shoot from. We didn't have to travel far from home, which was nice.

16 on the 14th...

My stepdaughter, Lindsey, will be 16 on August 14..holy cow! I came into her life when she was five and although we have had our share of ups and downs, we still find common ground from time to time. Lindsey came with me to take my sister-in-laws engagement photos and I shot a few of her before we left...tomorrow we are going on a photo shoot all around the county...

Yost-to-be

Last week I went to Sullivan Twp. Park in Pentwater and took engagement photos for my sister-in-law, Kelly, that is getting married October 24 to Dan Yost. I am really soooo excited for her, she is marrying an absolutely wonderful man that reminds me a lot of my husband, so I can tell you that he is really great! lol

This was my first engagement photo shoot and we did have a lot of fun...the location was really pretty and gave some good opportunities. Kelly had a lot of ideas as to what she wanted and where she wanted the photos...like Dan dipping her while standing in the water...he wasn't very happy about that, but being the trooper that he is, went along with it.

Turtle Lake Buck

While we were camping in Beulah last week my husband saw this beautiful buck in velvet across the lake...

I snuck by the boat launch and very slowly creeped up to where I could get some photos...

He was so beautiful eating lily pads...truly amazing!
